Boarding Information

Every parent needs to get away, including parents of pets. With this in mind, we offer pet boarding for your pets. Our staff will make sure your pet gets the best of care, is fed and watered as well as administer any medications. Animals are taken out for walks regularly and of course lots of love, pets and play time. Kennels are cleaned regularly to make sure your pet has the healthiest of environments.

Ask about our complimentary bath and nail trim for some of our longer staying friends. We want you to enjoy yourself knowing your pet and friend are in good hands.

Please help us to make your pet's stay with us happy and a healthy one. It is required that all pets be vaccinated with their appropriate vaccines. PROOF OF CURRENT VACCINATIONS ARE REQUIRED BEFORE ADMISSION AND A PARASITE FREE EXAM WITHIN THE YEAR. All pets are checked for external parasites upon admission. If fleas, flea dirt or ticks are present, we will apply the appropriate treatment and you will be billed accordingly.

If documentation is not received 72 hours before your pet is scheduled to arrive, your reservation will be released and given to the next person on the waiting list.

Boarding

Food and bedding is provided by the hospital. You are responsible to make sure that all food and items that you bring in for your pet are properly labeled and Green Mountain Veterinary is not responsible for items not properly labeled. Dogs are exercised in both covered indoor runs and outside play areas. Covered runs are disinfected every day and the outside play area is cleaned daily (all dogs using the outside play area must be desexed). All dogs are walked three times daily. Dogs are given a complimentary bath after a stay of more than four nights. This bath will be given prior to pick up.  Special requests for baths must be made at the time you make your boarding reservations.

Meds can be administered and your pet will be checked daily to ensure that the medication is working. For your peace of mind, our staff has access to the veterinarian and technicians if the need arises, and they need to be assessed and any meds administered. We hope this gives you peace of mind and helps with your pets stay.

We now offer an outdoor play area. In order for your pet to use our outdoor play area, your pet must be spayed or neutered. We allow for social play, where more than one dog can play in the area at a time. In order for your pet to be considered for social play, they must be dog friendly. The final decision will result in Green Mountain Veterinary, but be assured as long as we feel
your dog can play safely with others, we will introduce them to social play time. We are able to give individual play time in the area, alongside other dogs in the play area. There is a fence between play areas and this is a great way for us to determine how your pet will react to others. We can also do some limited individual play time (heavy volume times, can vary the amount of time available). We will do our very best to make sure that your pets get outside play time in our yard.
