Dr. Robert Treat, Sr. was born in Vermont. He received his early education in the Manchester school system, did his undergraduate work at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and graduated from The Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, NY in 1961. He is past president of the Vermont Veterinary Medical Association and the New England Veterinary Medical Association. He currently serves on the Vermont State Veterinary Board and Green Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is a member of the Vermont Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, skiing, snow shoeing, and reading.

Dr. Robert Treat, Jr. was born in Vermont and educated in the Manchester school system. He did his undergraduate work at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. After his graduation from Washington and Lee, he spent a year in Frankfurt, Germany where he did research at the Hoechst Institute as a Fulbright Scholar. He graduated from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. He currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Second Chance Animal Shelter and is President of the Burr and Burton Academy Alumni Association. He is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Vermont Veterinary Medical Association. In his spare time he enjoys tennis, hiking, and skiing.
